Color coded tabs, an improved address bar, and better privacy protection mark the new beta for IE. The 13mb beta download weighs much more than firefox. And the installation requires a reboot. Plus, you can’t run along older versions of IE side by side with this one. While these may seem like annoying, the browser was stable enough for you to use until the official version comes out. That is if you’re a Microsoft fan.
The search bar feature, which suggests entries from your favorites and history is directly borrowed from Firefox 3. One thing we especially liked though was the easy and simple way you could turn of add-ons. Just clicking on the right side of the toolbar to display an x will disable it.
